The APC Governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving access to quality healthcare across the state while commending a free medical outreach organised in solidarity with the JIG Movement.
The outreach, convened by the Chairman of SUD General Contractors Ltd, Shamsu Daudu Umar Abdussalam, took place at the Amada Primary Health Care Centre in Akko.
It brought together residents, including elderly people, women, young girls and people with eye conditions, who received free consultations and medicines.
Represented by the Chairman of Akko North Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Bello Suleiman, Gwamna thanked the organisers for their foresight and commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of the community.
He described the initiative as a practical contribution to the wellbeing of the people and an example of how individuals and organisations could support efforts at bringing essential services closer to communities.
Gwamna assured the people of his commitment to building on the healthcare achievements of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya through improved services and greater access to quality health care.
He also commended the governor Inuwa Yahaya for strengthening healthcare delivery and improving health facilities across the state, stressing the importance of sustaining and expanding those gains.
In his opening remarks, the convener, Shamsu Umar Abdussalam explained that the outreach was organised in solidarity with the JIG Movement and its commitment to quality healthcare.
He said the initiative was intended to take much-needed medical services to residents’ doorsteps, particularly those who might otherwise struggle to afford consultations and medicines.
Delivering his goodwill message, the APC State Chairman, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, praised the organisers, noting that the outreach complemented the Inuwa Yahaya administration’s efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
He also called on residents to support Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna’s governorship bid and other APC candidates in the state.
The outreach underscored the value of community participation in promoting healthcare for all and extending essential services to people in need.
