Ignore Old Video in Circulation, Jamil Gwamna Stands 100% With President Tinubu, Governor Inuwa, APC From Muhammad Kabir Kano Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahya, has after dismissing a viral Clip showing the State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamnan campaigning for Atiku, said the video was nothing but a desperate, mischievous mission by opposition to create tension and discredit their Candidates and the Party. He assured that Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna stand 100 per cent with the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and the Party. In a released, said, “our attention has been drawn to the renewed circulation of an old video in which Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, Sardaunan Gombe, expressed support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. “For the avoidance of doubt, the video is old and dates back to a period when Dr. Gwamna was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and supported Atiku Abubakar under the platform of that party.” “There is absolutely nothing controversial or unusual about a politician supporting and campaigning for the candidate of his political party at the time.” He further assured that, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna is today a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his political position is clear, public and unequivocal. He stands “100 per cent with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Governor of Gombe State,Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON.” “The attempt by political opponents to exhume an old video, strip it of its historical and political context, and present it as though it reflects Dr. Gwamna’s position today is nothing more than deliberate mischief and a desperate attempt to distract the APC and the public. Governor Yahya remarks that, the growing acceptance of Dr. Gwamna has become a threat to opposition parties in the state. Knowing that their chances of winning are being narrowed daily by the mass exodus of their chieftains and supporters to the APC in a revolution-like manner, they have resorted to their usual cheap political blackmail by exhuming old clips and attempting to give them new meaning. “Political affiliations change. Circumstances change. What matters is where a person stands today, and on that there should be absolutely no ambiguity: Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna stands firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the APC.” “We, therefore, urge our supporters, members of the APC and the general public to disregard the recycled video and the mischievous narrative being built around it”
