The Member representing Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Bello A. Kaoje, has donated 23 campaign vehicles and 225 motorcycles to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State to strengthen its mobilisation for the 2027 general elections.
The items were presented to Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu on Saturday at the APC campaign office in Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking at the event, Kaoje said the donation was part of his contribution to ensure victory for the APC at all levels in the 2027 elections.
He explained that 21 of the vehicles would be given to the party coordinators in the 21 local government areas of the state, while the 225 motorcycles would be distributed to ward coordinators. One vehicle would go to the State Party Secretariat, and another to his zonal office.
“Today, Kebbi State is under one umbrella under your administration because all past and present leaders are together in the APC,” Kaoje said.
He noted that the vehicles and motorcycles were intended for grassroots mobilisation for the APC, Governor Kauran Gwandu, and all other candidates of the party across the state and the country.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana, commended the lawmaker for the donation.
“We are happy with this gesture by Hon. Bello A. Kaoje to facilitate the APC 2027 campaign for all elective positions,” Kana said.
He called on other political office holders to emulate Kaoje by donating to support the party’s campaign and ensure its victory in 2027.
Former Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Adamu Aliero, in his remarks, cautioned APC members against politics of bitterness, violence and intimidation.
He urged them to focus on peaceful grassroots mobilisation to secure victory for the party.
“None of the APC members should involve himself in political violence, harassment, intimidation, or exchange of abusive words,” Aliero said.
He said the target of the party was to secure 85 per cent of the votes in the state, adding that APC senators from Kebbi would also soon flag off their campaigns and distribute materials to support mobilisation.
Aliero said the party was determined to win all elective positions in the state up to the national level.
Also speaking, former Governor and Director-General of the 2027 Governorship Campaign Council for Governor Kauran Gwandu, Ambassador Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, urged the people to remain loyal to the APC and vote for the party in 2027.
He recalled the long political journey of the leaders in the state, from the era of Senator Aliero to Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and now Governor Kauran Gwandu.
“Do not allow yourselves to be deceived by the opposition party. Please remain where you are and ensure victory for the APC in 2027,” Dakingari said.
He commended Kaoje for his support to the party.
In his remarks, Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu urged party members to be patient, tolerant and calm as the state prepares for the 2027 campaign.
He said his administration would continue to deliver on its promises to the people.
“We will continue to do what is obtainable for our people to ensure our party becomes victorious,” he said.
The Governor also joined other leaders in urging members to shun violence and focus on issue-based campaigning.
He appreciated Kaoje for the donation and thanked the people for their support to his administration and the APC.
He announced that the Campaign Council would be inaugurated on Sunday, after which campaign activities would formally begin.
The Governor thereafter flagged off the distribution of the vehicles and motorcycles to the 21 local government coordinators and 225 ward coordinators.
