Former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has felicitated with Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging residents to sustain the virtues of spirituality, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.

In an Eid-el-Kabir message issued on Tuesday through his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo called on Muslims to reflect on the lessons of obedience, patience and faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

He also extended warm greetings to the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, members of the movement and their supporters across the country.

Gwarzo urged the people of Kano to continue promoting unity, tolerance and harmony during and after the festive period.

“I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kano and Nigeria a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” he said.

The former deputy governor also urged eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) during the ongoing registration exercise, describing the voter card as a vital tool for democratic change ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
