6 Years After Dethroning Emir Sanusi, Ganduje Recognizes Him As Emir…Garo Takes Oath Of Office

Former Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, who dethroned the 16th Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi ii in 2020, has 6 years after Recognizes him as Emir while dropping protocols at Government House, Kano, Tuesday.

The dramatic atmosphere at the Ante-Chamber, Government House, when former Governor of Kano state and immediate-past National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, recognized former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),Muhammadu Sanusi 11, as the Emir of Kano, send heavy echos of laughter through the Ante Chamber.

Ganduje made the declaration during the swearing-in ceremony of Hon. Murtala Sule Garo, as the the new Deputy Governor of Kano state.

Recall the Ganduje had dethroned Emir Muhammadu Sanusi 11, as the Emir of Kano, in 2020, and installed, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, the first son of the late Emir Abdullahi Ado Bayero.

Speaking Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, charged the newly sworn-in Deputy Governor of Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo, to work diligently towards advancing the development of the state.

Yusuf said his administration remains committed to ensuring that the people of the state benefit from the dividends of democracy through impactful policies and programmes.

He urged the new deputy governor to bring his experience to bear in supporting government efforts aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.

Responding the newly sworn in Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, pledged to contribute his quota to the growth and development of Kano State.

He expressed appreciation to the governor for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve in the administration.

The ceremony was graced by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, former Kano governors, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, speaker Kano State House of Assembly Jibril Ismail Falgore among other dignitaries and party stakeholders.

Emir Sanusi, Ganduje, Senator Barau Jibrin, Former Deputy Governor’s, Emirs and other high placed dignitaries, were among thousands of people that stormed Kano Government House to witness the swearing-in ceremony of Sule Garo, as the new Deputy Governor of Kano state.

The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki, in the presence of top government officials, lawmakers, traditional rulers, and party stakeholders.
