From Muhammad Kabir Kano
Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress APC gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State, has stated that if elected, his administration would invest hugely in youth towards enhancing the overall well-being of the entire people of the state.
Gwamna made the declaration during a political gathering held in Gombe, where he received a former gubernatorial aspirant, Aliyu Kombat who officially collapsed his political structure from the state level down to the ward level in support of Gwamna’s candidature.
In his address, Gwamna expressed deep appreciation to Aliyu Kombat and his supporters for their show of loyalty and commitment to the progress of Gombe State.
He described the support as a significant step toward building a united front aimed at securing victory and delivering good governance.
Gwamna emphasised that his administration, if elected, would place young people at the centre of governance, while outlining key priority areas including education, empowerment, job creation, and fostering self-reliance among the youth.
“Our youths are the backbone of our future. We will invest in their education, create opportunities for employment, and support initiatives that make them self-reliant and productive members of society,” he said.
He further called on party supporters and residents of the state to support the APC at all levels, stressing the importance of collective political alignment for sustainable development.
“Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Nigeria is on a path of reform and renewal, likewise in Gombe State.”
In his remarks, Aliyu Kombat said his decision to support Gwamna was driven by his confidence in Gwamna’s leadership qualities and genuine concern for the people of Gombe State.
“He has the interest of the people at heart, and that is why I and my supporters have decided to join forces with him,” Kombat said.
The event marked a significant moment in the political landscape of Gombe State, signaling growing support and consolidation within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
