From Muhammad Kabir Kano
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Comrade Faizu Alfindiki, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he described as a transparent, inclusive, and politically mature approach to the selection of political candidates in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
Alfindiki said the governor’s style of engagement stands in contrast to the practice of some political leaders who, according to him, make decisions behind closed doors without consulting key stakeholders, a process he noted often fuels internal party divisions.
He praised Governor Abba for adopting a consultative method that gives room for broad participation within the political space.
“The governor has shown competence, wisdom, and an effective political strategy in managing the process of candidate selection in Kano State,” Alfindiki said.
He added that the inclusive nature of the process has strengthened unity within the political structure and boosted the confidence of party members and supporters.
According to him, “this approach has given everyone a sense of belonging and has helped to unite members of the party, thereby increasing the confidence of supporters and improving prospects for electoral success.”
Alfindiki further argued that transparency and fairness in political decision-making are essential pillars for sustaining democracy and reducing political tension within parties.
He maintained that Governor Abba’s leadership style could serve as a model for others, especially in managing internal party affairs in a diverse political environment like Kano State.
The APC chieftain also reaffirmed his support for the governor, endorsing his continued leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.
He echoed the popular slogan, saying “Abba go again,” describing it as a fitting call for continuity in leadership for the progress of Kano State and its people.
