The Kano State Government has formally inaugurated a high-level committee to coordinate activities for the forthcoming celebration marking the third year anniversary of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The committee, inaugurated on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government , Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, is tasked with organizing a befitting programme that will highlight the achievements and milestones recorded by the present administration within its first three years in office.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at the Cabinet Office Conference Hall, the SSG emphasized the need for a comprehensive and impactful celebration capable of attracting prominent personalities from within and outside Kano State. He noted that the administration has successfully delivered on a significant number of its campaign promises, particularly in critical sectors that directly affect the lives of the people.
Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, who also serves as Chairman of the committee, stated that the anniversary celebration would provide an opportunity to showcase the giant strides of the Gida Gida administration in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, environment, rural development, and good governance.
He further stressed the importance of adequate publicity and documentation of the event, revealing that a detailed commemorative brochure capturing the administration’s achievements would be produced as part of efforts to preserve the memories of the landmark celebration for future reference.

6. Dr. Gwani Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda – Commissioner for Education
7. Hon. Abduljabbar Umar Garko – Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning
8. Hon. Abdulkadir Abdussalam – Commissioner for Rural and Community Development
9. Hon. Adda’u Lawan Kutama – Special Adviser, Cabinet Office
10. Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa – Director General, Media and Publicity
11. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo – Director General, Protocol
12. Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin – Director General, Research and Documentation
13. Hon. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi – Director General, National Productivity Center – Member
14. Hon. Musa Illiuasu KWANKWASO – Member
Also serving as Secretary of the committee is Alhaji Umar Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs (REPA).
The committee has been charged with ensuring a successful and memorable anniversary celebration that will reflect the administration’s commitment to people-oriented governance and sustainable development across Kano State.
