Governor Yusuf Appoints Former Lawmaker Umar Maggi as Special Adviser on Assembly Matters

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of Hon. Umar Musa Gama, popularly known as Umar Maggi, as Special Adviser on Assembly Matters.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.

Hon. Umar Maggi, a seasoned politician and former lawmaker, represented his Nassarwa constituency in the 9th Kano State House of Assembly, where he distinguished himself through effective legislative service and commitment to the development of the state.

Previously, Hon. Magi served as Special Adviser on School Feeding, a position in which he contributed significantly to the implementation of the state’s school feeding programme.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence that Hon. Maggi’s wealth of legislative experience and deep understanding of government processes would strengthen coordination between the Executive and the Kano State House of Assembly.

The Governor urged the new Special Adviser to bring his experience, dedication and commitment to bear in the discharge of his new responsibilities in order to support the administration’s resolve to deliver good governance and quality leadership
