Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, has approved N63.65 million for the payment of registration fees for 67 Kebbi indigenes at the Nigerian Law School for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Prof Junaidu Bello Marshall, SAN, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

According to the statement, each of the 67 beneficiaries will receive N950,000, bringing the total amount to N63,650,000.

Marshall said the approval was part of the administration’s commitment to supporting Kebbi indigenes pursuing legal education and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their professional development.

He appreciated Governor Idris for his continued support for Kebbi law students and the Ministry of Justice, noting that the gesture would ease the financial burden on the beneficiaries and enable them to focus on their studies.

It would be recalled that the state government also paid tuition and registration fees for Kebbi indigenes at the Nigerian Law School in 2024 and 2025, demonstrating its sustained commitment to promoting legal education and developing the next generation of legal practitioners from the State.
