The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, has strongly warned States Pilgrims Welfare Boards, to stopped dragging issues with Pilgrims on the problems of accomodations in Arafat and Minna.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Director Fatima Sanda Usara, She said, the attention of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has urged state pilgrims welfare boards, SPWBs, to stop dragging issues to media for resolution.
The Deputy Director notes that the commission is reacting to a report attributed to a State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board concerning the standard of accommodation arrangements in Mina and Arafat for Nigerian pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
NAHCON said it acknowledges that concerns may arise in the course of preparations for an operation as large and complex as Hajj.
NAHCON therefore urges all stakeholders, including State Pilgrims ’Welfare Boards to
addressed through established operational channels to identify gaps, improve arrangements where necessary, and ensure the comfort, of
participating states.
The Commission further encourages states to work closely with service providers on-site in resolving issues in a timely and beneficial manner.
