The All Progressive Congress APC in Jigawa State is facing huge threats as high placed members of the Party kept decamping to the opposition African Democratic Congress ADC.
The APC, witnesses a major twist as prominent members dumped the Party to pitch tents with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Among the notable figures that decamped, Monday, is Senator Sabo Nakudu, who might contest Governorship seat comes 2027 and whose move signals a growing shift in allegiance ahead of key political activities.
His decamping marks a significant wave of defections in the state, raising eyebrows and sparking conversations about the changing power dynamics within Jigawa politics.
Analysts believe this realignment could reshape the political equation in the region as ADC continues to gain momentum.
Growing discontent, between Governor Namadi and his predecessor Badaru Abubakar is widely linked to allegations of poor party management and the marginalization of influential stakeholders by Governor Umar Namadi, whose leadership style has come under increasing scrutiny from within the party.
Political observers trace the roots of the crisis to a strained relationship between Mr Namadi and his political benefactor, former governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, as well as his financial backer, Isa Gerawa.
An Ally of Former Defence Minister, who don’t want his names mentioned, said this is coming at a time when Former Defence Minister, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, was going up and down trying to secure victory for President Tinubu in the State and great beyond.
He said, former Governor, Badaru Abubakar has been seen meeting with other Political Party members in an efforts to get them not only votes for Tinubu but make the APC proud by winning from bottom to up.
All efforts to Speak with the Spokesperson of the Governor Mallam Hamisu, or the SSG Bala Mamsa to balance the story proved abortive.
