Hundreds of friends, relatives and well-wishers on Friday gathered at the Sharia Commission Mosque in Kano to witness the wedding Fatiha of Khadija Ali Dan Abba, daughter of Commissioner II of the Commission, Sheikh Ali Dan Abba, and Nazifi Yusuf Rabiu.
The wedding was solemnised following the payment of a dowry of ₦250,000 by the groom.
The Imam who presided over the ceremony enjoined the newlyweds to build their marriage on love, understanding and mutual respect, in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
He also reminded the couple of the virtues of marriage and urged them to exercise patience and tolerance in dealing with each other at all times.
The bride’s father, Sheikh Ali Dan Abba, expressed appreciation to the guests, friends, relatives and well-wishers who took time to attend the ceremony and share in the family’s joy.
